Clothing Swap

Last night, the ladies had our first ever clothing swap. It turned out to be such a great night. Not only did all of us walk away with a garbage bag full of clothes, but we were able to just have some quality girl time and catch up, no babies, no husbands! We even had 8 garbage bags full of clothes that were not claimed. So, we will be donating them to one of our favorite thrift stores. We had so much fun, I think we are going to do this every 6 months.

Now, it's time to wash my new clothes so I can wear them!

For Sale, No Go

We have decided not to put our house on the market. Over the last few months we have been updating our home so that it could compete with the newer homes. When we first decided to put our house on the market, the active comps were pretty favorable. Houses in our neighborhood we're going for what we were wanting to just break even or they were a little less. But we figured our home is one of the nicer ones and larger ones, it should be able to sell.

Well, the other day I was taking a look at the active comps and the sold comps, after getting much inspiration and advice from my new favorite show, Real Estate Intervention, we decided not to put our home on the market. Over the past 5 months or so, homes in our neighborhood have either been taken off the market or sold for $40,000+ less than what we even owe. And we don't want to owe anyone anything.

We are still going to be making improvements on the home and getting it to a place where we love to be and will most likely be for the next 2 years or so. So, my focus has changed. And I think I'll make a new topic, Room of the Day, where I will find inspiration for our home!!
